13-16 Years - Lego Robotics – EV3 Mind Storms

This class is an introduction to building and programming robots using the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Robotics System. Students will practice CONSTRUCTION and PROGRAMING with the EV3 intelligent brick with servo style motors and ultrasonic sensors. In groups of 4 they are trained to build different attachments, robots and program them with a computer to move, react, and make sounds in order to solve challenges. This class is good practice for kids interested in robotics competitions such as WRO – World Robotic Olympiad & FLL - First Lego League The age group is 9-16 with rising levels of complexities to solve various tasks and missions

Level -1 Construction of Attachments and Contraptions

Introducing Robotics with LEGO Mindstorms for children from age 9 onwards which sharpens Problem Solving, Real World Designing and Programming skills. This class is an introduction to building and constructing robots using the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Robotics System. Introduction to Robotics engineering and its application, Building simple machines and clever contraptions. They learn Gear Ratios, Wheel Rotations, various lifts, pick, push, drop mechanisms.

Level - 2 Interfacing Sensors and Programming Logic

In this level students learn to interface their construction with various motors and sensors. They get a more dynamic understanding of

- Multi Movement Mechanisms

- Sensors

- Collaboration of attachments,

- Software setup and Download,

- Structured programming and Logic building.

Level - 3 Problem Solving Missions with Robots

In this level they integrate their construction and programming skills to build complete bots that are programmed to perform various tasks. They build 4 Robots

- With different mission statement

- Complex programming

- Nested Logic & Control

- Variables and Data Types

- Data Manipulation & Advance Subroutines
